The purpose of this document is to present the implementation of OS virtualization. This makes it possible to directly test an OS in another OS without having to install it beforehand in a partition of the dedicated machine and boot at startup.
It is therefore possible to develop for example under Linux in your Windows 10. To do this, you virtualize a machine by running the distribution you want to use: Linux MINT, Debian and others.
There are several virtual machine providers like Oracle or VMWare. Windows also provides Virtual Machines allowing to have a Windows 11 OS for example for companies.
In this document, we will present the basic use of the VirtualBox 6.1 tool which is free to run Linux MINT “linuxmint-20.3-cinnamon-64bit”.
